Comfortable in my own skin…

I always think of Vincent D’Onofrio in Men In Black when someone hits me up with this turn of phrase.

“I am comfortable in my own skin.”

“Be comfortable in your own skin.”

What are people actually saying with this? There has to be a better way to say that one is okay with themself as they are, if that’s actually what they are saying.

There was a point over this past weekend though when I was so tired it felt like my skin was on inside out and was too tight. The feeling dissipated after a nap…

I hate cliches.

I do.

We could all use larger vocabularies to express our feelings but this one needs to be retired.
