This is almost too many notes for my monkey brain to process, especially given my plunge in recent months into ambient and minimalist music. The emotional response is different though. It’s more exhilarating in most ways but again, it’s almost a challenge. It is the soundtrack for a morning that required something different.

Processing the sense of space is different also from the artificial ambient spaces created electronically. It’s big for certain, but not quite as expansive. The room itself is an instrument, and the dominant instrument at that.
