Who we all want to believe we’re fighting. Agent Smith. The manifestation of the enemy. The Right says it’s the Marxist State. The left says Smith is the Fascist State.

Who we all want to believe we are. The Resistance. Trinity. Neo. Morpheus. Those who have chosen the Red Pill and are “woke.” Those who see The Matrix for what it is. Those who are not physically and mentally enslaved, in service to The Machine behind the consensus illusion. We may even be right, to a degree. Mostly, at best, we have hacked into the system and are overwriting The Matrix with a parallel code that counters (to some degree) the consensus.

Who we are really are, when it comes right down to it. Cypher. The quisling. The traitor. The one that has seen The Matrix for what it is, and has seen reality for what it is, and wants to go back to the Blue Pill and re-integrate and go with the flow. The outsider who just wants to forget it all happened and unsee what cannot be unseen and be “normal.” Tell me you don’t relate to Cypher. Tell me honestly.
