Call me old-fashioned but the introduction of the term “hook-up” to describe a casual sexual encounter into our lexicon of slang is so fucking juvenile that it even makes my dick sad. The laissez-faire connotation is so forced and inauthentic that it actually strips away any dignity that a sexual encounter between two random adults may have. It’s childish. (And yes I believe that a casual sexual encounter between two random or even ten random adults has some adult dignity, or can have…)

I just find it stupid and distasteful. I don’t even want to fuck anyone who uses it.
