COVID-19, part 8

Simply because all this bullshit is going to need a soundtrack. My inclination right now is something dystopian, futuristic and angst-ridden.

But keeping in mind what Albert Camus said about monotony, this might be a more accurate representation of a long quarantine.

Accelerated memory? Sound more like accelerated boredom and having once been a bored teenager which is the very embodiment of accelerated boredom I can promise that will turn very quickly to an accelerated period of things getting broken. I’m just saying.

I had a conversation last night with one of the more reasonable people I know who said she could do two weeks of quarantine without too much problem. Beyond two weeks, she said, and things would start to get weird and maybe horrible. Personally speaking, I would struggle with two days.

Update: there are new videos circling of born-again preppers brawling over the last 12-packs of toilet paper in stores. Let’s go with the angsty cyberpunk soundtrack for now.
