Hell of a an opening for any album, no?

Retribution? If you can read “retribution” as a musical genre and scroll by without checking it then you’re a lot more… something… than I am. My Youtube algorithms seem to be out of synch though so all kinds of shit is coming up. That’s the universal “shit” by the way though and in no way reflects the quality of the music that’s coming up. It’s just all over the place, from traditional folk to death industrial, to retribution.

Retribution.

There’s nothing I can say here that will give you an idea of what this is. There is no point of reference to coax you in or scare you off. You just have to trust that it’s going to be a ride. You will love it or hate it but it will have an impact. I haven’t decided how I feel about it yet but it’s made it to this space. It’s special and it’s earned a place here.

My inner algorithms are out of synch too. My little tantrum in this space yesterday was shameful and the temptation to delete it altogether is strong, but editing isn’t really my style. It’s probably best to leave it there as a signpost. Or just a simple reminder.

I’ve got Sinner Get Ready playing through for the fourth time since last night. That should tell you as much as you need to know. It’s interesting at the least, right? Nah, it’s actually good but it’s not easy listening. This is a challenging work. It’s not conventionally beautiful.

Anyway… I can’t focus.
