Yah, statistics. If you look hard enough, and it doesn’t even have to be so hard since the advent of Google, you can find statistics to support any argument you want to make. Mencken said democracy is the abuse of statistics, and that makes sense because most statistics are abused like step-children of an alcoholic in a sleeveless t-shirt. So go out and find your own statistics to abuse, and I’ll get mine and then we’ll sit down and have ourselves a conversation. I mean an argument. Arguments are subsets of conversations I suppose unless you insist that both sides are listening even a little bit.
