“What is self-esteem? It is the ability to view ourselves as flawed individuals and still hold ourselves in high regard. It’s anything but perfection. So, welcome your flaws, people.” ~ Esther Perel

This was spoken, of course, in a greater context. She isn’t saying, “This is who I am. Deal with it.” That’s not self-esteem at all. It’s all about context relative to the actions you take to get along in the world around you.

Anyway, I heard someone use the word ‘inchoate’ in conversation yesterday and it wasn’t forced or unnatural. I wanted to pause the conversation and high-five them.
