I’ve seen both the right and the left claim The Matrix as their own. The left has said it’s an anti-fascist statement. The right have said it’s an anti-Marxist statement. They’re both wrong. It doesn’t effectively make any case for politics of any bent. It could go either way depending on what you want it to be. It’s not really political. I’ll get into this further at another time.
