It’s telling that now five to six decades after the Second World War, we still revel in moral certainty through films and literature telling of our involvement and victory. Yet over the course of half that amount of time, we talk less of Viet Nam where we fought for twice the amount of time (and lost).

It must be horrific for those who were there to reconcile any of this.
