An example… an idea… a vibe… a mood.
It might be about coming to terms, or coming to a compromise. with the ghosts of the past and future that haunt my life here. The struggle is finding a soundtrack maybe to drift along on like tubing down a digital river.
Old photos of the places that used to be can be jarring. It’s beyond photos, it’s the images themselves that should be photos. It’s walking down the street and passing a building with a new facade but realizing a double image. It’s what used to be there in a double-exposure with what appears to be there now. One of them is real. Perhaps both of them are just as real, because who really understands time? It’s people too, like when a person rounds a corner and you know them both as who they were and who they are now and they both exist at once.

From another angle, there is a problem I can’t get my head around. When I was growing up, there was a prevailing wisdom that if you can imagine it, you can build it. That ideal seems to have largely faded and become, if you can imagine it, you can simulate it.
How fucking dull…
