Formerly ST. PETER’S SEMINARY in Cardross, Scotland…
An ambitious post-war project perhaps but a beautiful giant, it was only in regular use for less than fifteen years. Did they every really expect people at that time to be running for the priesthood? Nonetheless, they left behind this wonderful relic. My heart jumped when the photos came up on the screen, no doubt a Google guided visual adventure driven by my previous searches for Brutalist architecture. Forty years idle didn’t do the property much good, did it? Still, maybe this change of ownership will bring back an inspired restoration. One can only hope.
