This could ostensibly be titled COVID-19, part 73 but let’s save that for now. Let’s just say that the pandemic is still overshadowing every other conversation, social or political, for the foreseeable future. It is the lens through which we are viewing the world right now, even with the Democratic Convention this week and recent months of protests and unrest.

Every pandemic or crisis needs heroes also, so why not focus on these images from the original stencil/graffiti artist (probably Banksy’s greatest influence) and the carrier of the greatest plague of all time, the rat. BLEK LE RAT seems perfect for the role. There’s a good bio at the link but words aren’t going to have anywhere near the force of the imagery so I’m going to let them speak for themselves.
