Dozens of shots from more or less the same spot, pointing in the same direction, and no two are alike. The landmarks are the same, despite some trees in the foreground being tragically removed, but the rest is very much the same as it was when I came here at the end of 2015.

No two alike, and why should it be? The Universe is hurtling through time at 1000 miles an hour, and is simply indifferent to our perspective on any part of it.

Simply indifferent. It doesn’t even know we’re here with our petty buildings and cars and currencies and wars. We can all kill ourselves off and the sun won’t blink. The Universe won’t fart or turn over. It’s too busy being itself, whatever itself is.

It’s indifferent. Does The Infinite known that it’s infinite? Does it matter?
