COVID-19, part 61

Bear in mind that it took more than a decade in Viet Nam for the casualties to hit 50,000. There’s a mindset you have to find to get out of bed. My next post here will be something about a movie or pop music, most likely, but that is not an indicator of anything but resignation. The 100,000 number is impossible to ignore. It’s not something that you can brush off with a platitude about how it could have been much worse. There is no ‘worse’ for 100,000 families. This is worse. This is not a newspaper reaching for a sensational headline. It’s not partisan. It’s not politics. It’s as plain as the box scores on a sports page.

COVID-19: 100,000

US: 0

We lose.
