Covidian Philosophy Hour – The Distance Between Us

I read this differently at first. I followed the dodgy logic that bees collect pollen and produce honey, and honey is preferable to shit. That one produced something and the other merely consumed something entirely unpalatable, unless of course you’re a fly.

It occurred to me looking at it from even a marginally longer distance that it’s not a good comparison at all. The two of them, and all the rest of us, exist and are better off because of each other and not despite the differences. They each have a vital role in the greater picture and we are all better for that.

Distance and context are important.
