Museo de la Cuarentena – Henri Cartier-Bresson

HENRI CARTIER-BRESSON

I’m more familiar with some of the images than the man himself. It’s a familiar name, maybe from photo credits. Candid photography or snapshots or street photography interests me more than studio work. It goes back to that idea I’ve often mentioned about freezing moments in time. Real moments interest me more than moments created, I mean insofar as any moment is created. There is more of an element of accident or chance in some moments than in others. Beauty is often accidental and that makes it more beautiful than most things the mind can conjure.

So, Henri Cartier-Bresson… one for me to watch for.
